Default Battery Charges Involving a Minor

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Florida
I need legal advised, this past December my son that is 12 years old, went to hang out with his friends to the community next to mine, and end up in a fight with another 12yr old,This 12yr old kid was hitting and bullying a 7yr old and my son which does not like to see people getting abused, told this kid to stop, where this 12 yr old threatened my son to leave or else,my son stayed there and asked this kid what he was going to do?this kid approached my son, pushed him, they both started fighting where this 12 yr old went into the bushes grabbed a glass bottle and hurt my son in the head, and not happy with it,he tried to stab my son in the abdomen.People got between the 2 boys,my son was bleeding profusely,a neighbor that lives in the same community as I do,brought my son home and told me the incident, where this neighbor advised me not to let my son go to this community again, because this other 12yr old was a trouble maker, before this incident happened my son had a little wobble with him where this same kid got upset and pushed my son,my son told me about it,I told my son not to go there again and that was it. when this new incident happened I didn't had any idea that my son was in this community again,so he was there without my consent.I called the police, they took pictures of my son's injuries, and just a few days ago,I have the police knocking on my door handing me court papers, where it says that my son is been charge of battery and causing bodily harm, and on top of it my son is been called a delinquent!I don't know what to do,I have never had trouble with anybody nor my kids,I am a single mom raising my kids on my own and I'm just really concern about this charges and where all this is going to end,I don't want my son going into juvenile,he is not a trouble boy,he was just trying to help this other kid and got hurt in it. Please if you can get back to me,I'll be deeply appreciated, thank you!

Apparently there's an allegation that your son, whether in the incident you describe or at a different time, caused injury to somebody else. We have no access to any facts beyond what you've given us, so we have no way of knowing what the charges are about. I suggest that you consult a lawyer who handles juvenile delinquency cases.
