Question Must Defendant Out on Bail Remain in County

My question involves criminal law for the state of: California
My friend put up bail (a bond) for her stepson in Mendocino County. Is he required to remain in Mendocino County?
He wants to spend the pre-trial time at his mother's and grandmother's house in Sonoma County, about 60 miles away.
Will my friend forfit the bond if he does not remain in the county?

Depends what the bail conditions are. County restrictions aren't very typical. Usually you have to stay in California.
