My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: Connecticut
I received a ticket some time ago for speeding while passing through CT on a state highway from a state trooper. He informed me that I was speeding, going between 67 and 71 in a 55, which I do not believe, as my cruise control was set at 64 and it was a straight stretch. Its not worth it for me to go back to argue this, I think.
He realized I was young, and had no record, and wrote me a ticket pursuant to CT 14-298, as he claimed it was less expensive, and gave me an extended period to reply.
However nowhere on the ticket does it say anything but CT 14-298, which I believe is simply the description of the motor vehicle laws in Connecticut and doesn't reference my speed at all. Can I get off by contesting?
