My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: NEW JERSEY, City of Jersey City. Communipaw and Mallory (a county road).
I received a speeding ticket 42 in a 25 [15-19MPH Excess] (4-98 Title 39)
No speed limits posted or other signage (and I will concede these are courtesies of the state and not req. by law).
both adjacent roadway (HWY 440) limits are 40 MPH
unclear to the road being rural, residential, or business/industrial....
but it seems to be more industrial as it connects to 440 a very busy business conduit -- even at 9:50pm
It should be known:
I'm an out of state resident of Georgia
reliant on my state's 30/45 rural and their non-demarcated street that could be consider highway or residential.
I was driving reasonable and a prudent speed to the latter.
It also seem as if the police rely on this strip to catch people.
would a void for vagueness work? thoughts?
WIKIPEDIA
"[NJ] County roads that link communities or serve residential areas are often indistinguishable from state highways or residential streets."
