My question involves restraining orders in the State of: Illinois
I have a restraining order on an EX. This past weekend was my best friend's birthday and we went to a bar. The EX got to the bar first and I guess she saw me standing in line to get in. She went inside and told the bouncers that there was a restraining order in place. The bouncers came out and called out my name to see who it was, asked for my ID and then they told me that I couldn't go in. Now, I HAVE THE RESTRAINING ORDER AGAINST HER, I AM NOT THE ONE THAT CAUSED ANY DAMAGE, yet I was refused entry. I can careless if we are in the same place, I don't care for her anymore and I was there to have a good time. While they are telling me that they cannot let me in, a fight breaks in front of me and guess what, they let the guy that got into the fight back into the bar...HOW DOES THAT WORK? Can I pursue a lawsuit for refusal of entry or even discrimination?
