Default Want to Get Married, File Before or After

My question involves bankruptcy in the state of: Indiana

    Hello,

Myself and my partner want to get married but we both have debt. I am roughly $30,000.00 in debt from a major accident and he has roughly $6000.00. What is the best way to go about this? Get married and file together? File separately before marriage? Any advice as to how we can come out with the best new start for our credit is appreciated!

    Thank you.

By "he has roughly $6000.00" you mean that he has $6,000 in debt? That's not much debt, even if he has little in the way of income.
