Default Three Day Notice To Vacate

I received a 3 day notice to vacate. Does this mean that if I pay the rent they'll stop the eviction process or is it just the beginning of the eviction? I planned on paying it by tomorrow and I told them I was going to pay it this weekend. Is it just their way of getting the money? Thanks

This notice is the beginning of the eviction process, but make sure to get a receipt or something indicatring that you have brought your rent current in case your landlord tries to evict you anyway. But if you bring your rent current within three days, the process stops. If you don't/can't, you are instructed to leave in period. Failure to do one or the other gives the landlord the right to proceed witht he eviction process. In some states, quitting or leaving doesn't relieve the tenant for the balance of the lease, so the landlord may still sue.

Hi and thanks for replying. The apartment manager called me and told me that since I paid it I don't have to move. She said it wasn't her, it was the owner and she has to do what he says and that was something they do to get the payment. I told them I wouldn't be able to pay it until the weekend and she said I did keep my word. Again, thanks for replying.
