You know the threads stickied at the top of the forum? The ones you were instructed to read before posting? Read them.

The short answer: No, you don't get to run away from home or shack up with your boyfriend merely because you showed the poor judgment to get pregnant.

No, but pregnancy can be a reason for emancipation to be denied.

Obviously, being a minor and pregnant, this girl doesn't need your asshole sarcasm. Did you ever think about if her primary home is either unsafe or abusive? Sure, she could have said something, but it's not really anybody's business over the internet.

sarcasm? how about the hard truth.. Please explain how an unsafe or abusive home has anything to do with her getting pregnant? If she is in an unsafe or abusive home, she needs to call the police or child protective services, That is still not a valid argument to simply run away and move in with the guy that got the minor girl pregnant.

I'm not going to lie, I'm 16 and in the same situation you are. My primary home is wonderful, but school is becoming hard for me because the public school is very unreasonable with my pregnancy and my due date becoming to be very close. I would like to get emancipated so that I can live on my own and attend an alternative school for pregnant teenagers who would like to graduate on time. The only downfall is, the school is in another city over 2 hours away from where I live. I would have my own income. I receive social security and some type of other payment from fifty thousand dollars my dead grandmother left me, for I was her only grandchild. Everything else was left to my biological mother in which whom I do not have any contact with. I only get a set amount of the money every month, and it comes in three hundred dollar checks. I do not have a boyfriend and/or significant other in which I can rely on. The school provides day care for ten dollars a week, or thirty five a month. I do own my own car, and I have a license and insurance in which my adoptive parents, or my grandparents, pay for.

Getting emancipated in the state of Montana is rather easy, although I am not too sure what state you are from but congratulations on the pregnancy and I wish the best for you and what your plans in life are i know that it isn't easy making it out there on your own!

Pregnancy is not a valid reason to emancipate in any state. Pregnancy is a very good reason for a judge to deny emancipation, no matter what kind of income you may have, because it shows that you are in need of more supervision, not less.
