I'm not going to lie, I'm 16 and in the same situation you are. My primary home is wonderful, but school is becoming hard for me because the public school is very unreasonable with my pregnancy and my due date becoming to be very close. I would like to get emancipated so that I can live on my own and attend an alternative school for pregnant teenagers who would like to graduate on time. The only downfall is, the school is in another city over 2 hours away from where I live. I would have my own income. I receive social security and some type of other payment from fifty thousand dollars my dead grandmother left me, for I was her only grandchild. Everything else was left to my biological mother in which whom I do not have any contact with. I only get a set amount of the money every month, and it comes in three hundred dollar checks. I do not have a boyfriend and/or significant other in which I can rely on. The school provides day care for ten dollars a week, or thirty five a month. I do own my own car, and I have a license and insurance in which my adoptive parents, or my grandparents, pay for.
Getting emancipated in the state of Montana is rather easy, although I am not too sure what state you are from but congratulations on the pregnancy and I wish the best for you and what your plans in life are

i know that it isn't easy making it out there on your own!
