Zedex, I can understand how you feel. Not the same, but similiar incidents happened with me also. The major problem I am looking at in your situation is it happened 3 years ago.
I'm going to put down in order how I tried taking care of my situation:
1. Ask the police department for a complaint form against the officers. Make it out carefully.
2. Write a letter to the chief of police.
3. Go to the city council meeting and bring it up in public.
4. Write a letter to the Attorney General of your state.
5. Speak with a FBI agent.
6. Contact legal aid services in your area and find out if there is a state attorney phone number which will find you an attorney over the phone after describing what happened. That is how I found an attorney who would take care of the incident. The only problem is I could not afford her.
7. Contact the news media.
I really contacted more people (ATF, US Customs, etc.) but it will not be related to your case.
See if there is an organization in you county that is against "crooked officers." It makes it stronger when you have people with you.

Always keep copies of whatever you send out.
If you can get an appeal on the court case, go for it and try to have the suspects pay you restitition.
If you think a judge is wrong report it to: http://www.ancpr.org/judicial.htm
Remember, I know how a cop feels. I used to be an auxilary/reserve police officer.
