Default H1 Extended, Valid Visa, Re-Entry Query

Firstly, I apologize if a similar question has been posted and answered previously on this forum. I trawled online and read conflicting answers.

I'm on H1B and the visa stamped on my passport is valid until Nov 2011. Earlier this year, I relocated to a different city with the same company, same profile and we filed for a LCA for the new location. Once that was certified, the company lawyer filed for a H1 extension against the new certified LCA. The approved 797 just came in and is valid until Mid 2013.

My question is - I'm travelling overseas for a few days and will re-enter on my existing visa. I understand that at the border, I should present my old 797 and the new one too? Will this be a problem because I didnt get a visa against the new 797?

    Any thoughts are much appreciated.

Stamped H1B visa is not linked to a particular employer. Use your valid, existing visa and current approval to reenter the US.
