My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: California. On city streets, multiple lane road, speed limit of 35. A few hundred feet from the intersection where I needed to make a right turn, an elderly woman turned right into my lane. She obviously didn't see me. My option was to let he hit me or to swerve left into the other lane. Since I was going about 30 and she was barely moving, it wasn't too difficult to pull back into the right lane after I passed her. A highway patrolman saw me cut in front of her but didn't see her pull out in front of me. He cited me for VC21658, unsafe lane change. I avoided an accident and I get a ticket for it. There really wasn't anything unsafe about my return to the right lane but that is how he saw it. Any suggestions????
