My question involves real estate located in the State of: arizona

A neighbor is saying that my friend's fence is either right on the property line, or is encroaching over his property line.

My friend has the same property dimensions as everyone else does on the street. He used the existing corner pins when he had his chain link fencing installed 6” inside his property line. Most everyone in the neighborhood used the existing pins as the property boarders when installing their fences. Some people put their fences right on the property lines.

Let's say the pins were off, and my friend's fence does encroach into his neighbors yard 6” or so. That could mean that possibly all the other neighborhood lot pins are 6” over into the next neighbors property. If my friend has to move his fence 6” back towards his property, does that mean all the other neighbors (including the complainer) could be made to move their fences 6” either way? We're talking about moving a section about 300' long.

The neighbor is just trying to make trouble for my friend. My friend's fence has been there for at least 15 years. The neighbor has only lived there for 5 or 6 years & is only now complaining – just because he can.

Thanks.
