My question involves civil rights in the State of: New Jersey.
How can individual states enact laws making it a crime to own guns, when the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution states The Right to Bear Arms, (A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed). On the other hand, why cannot individual states enforce laws on immigration, even though it's the federal government's job? Where is the difference between these two situations? Thank you for your response. I look forward to reading it?
