    Default Past License Suspension

My question involves a driver's license issued by the State of: Michigan

3 years ago was pulled over for expired plates (about a month) which was thought to be up to date but apparently online renewal did not work properly.

Was given ticket - sent a payment in via check form.

Received letter and check back stating they did not accept checks and my license has been suspended until payment. Went in person and paid that same day.

Problem is is I am nearly done with college this semester and the job I have applied for carries an insurance policy that a license must be free and clear for 5 years.

I am wondering if this payment issue on my ticket received will screw me out of a job?

I'd be more concerned about the ticket for driving on expired plates. We can't tell you what your employer or his insurer considers "free and clear". If you point out that these weren't moving violations you might be OK.
