My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: New Jersey
Hi,
Recently I resigned from my last company. One day before putting the resignation paper I received a mail from my employer about the bonus which is based on past year evaluation. Even my manager sent me a mail indicating the specific bonus amount that I was supposed to get in installment through next 3 pay checks. Now while I left they are not willing to give that money. I got the settlement pay checks and experiences letters but that doesn't include the bonus. When I contacted my ex-manager, CFO I was told that as I am no longer part of the company I am not eligible to receive the bonus. Can you please suggest what should I do.
