What to Do After Getting Caught Shoplifting

My question involves criminal law for the state of:
i was caught in k mart stelling some stuff about $250, the ploce were called and i got shoplifting ticket, and date and time to go to court.
i don't know what to do.
it will be in my record even they didn't get my fingerprint and pic?
if i pay the ticket without going to court the charges will dismissed?
pls i need some advices

You are supposed to fill in the state. The laws are different in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Even though you were not fingerprinted and photographed at the time doesn't mean you won't be at some future time (like at your court date or you may get an order telling you to come in specifically for that). Even if you weren't fingerprinted, if you are convicted you'd still have a record.

Paying the ticket is the equivalent of pleading guilty, you will be found guilty, and the charge is NOT dismised.

Plead not guilty until you have an attorney advise you of the implications of doing otherwise.
