My question involves a child custody case from the State of: LA

To make a long story short, my in laws, (who lives in Missouri), especially my mother in law, are upset with my husband and I because we moved to Louisiana after he got out of the military and don't want them to be a part of my 1 year old daughter's life anymore. They're angry and now they are telling people that my daughter is neglected and that they are going to do whatever it takes to get her. They are telling people that we starve her and and that I don't wake up with her in the morning. My daughter is not and has never been neglected, she is very loved and very well taken care of. I have a son, the father and I have joint custody, but they are saying they are going to call child protective services and tell them that I have already lost custody of another child. My husband and I both agree that we do not wish to have them and their drama in our lives. I was wondering if there's anything they can do and what exactly my rights are.
