My question involves expungements or pardons for the state of: North Carolina
I just had a 1995 North Carolina misdemeanor (was dismissed) expunged from my record. My new company is going to run an FBI fingerprint check on me. Last year, another company ran one on me previously and it came back clean - no idea why my fingerprints were not on file.
My question is twofold: 1) Will the expunction order I received trigger the FBI to now see the arrest - I had to provide new identifying information to the court (SSN/DOB) to get the order; 2) If they do see it, do they honor expunction orders from states?
Oh, one more thing - when the FBI runs its fingerprint checks, do they use a SSN or just the fingerprints?
Thanks in advance for your help.
