My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Florida
I've been living in my apartment for a year and a half. I signed a one year lease with one roommate who left after it was up. I then a signed a 7 month lease with two new roommates. The 7 month lease will be up soon and both my roommates decided to move. However, we did not give the 60 day notice. My apartment complex usually gives a reminder 2 months before the lease is up but they did not send it this time. We would have to pay rent until January and my roommates have already put a security deposit down on another place. I wanted to know what would happen if we decided to move out at the end of the month when our lease is up. We have already paid the rent for this month. But, it is too late to give the 60 day notice to move at the end of the month. If we just moved out anyway, what is the worse that could happen?
