    Default Emancipation at 16

My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: Oregon

I am currently 16 and have a stable job, I know a family friend who will let me rent out the upstairs of their house. I have good grades in school and great attendance. When I am absent, they are always excused.

My parents are emotionally abusive and sometimes physical too, I do everything around my house and pay for some things to do with the house (ie: phone ad electricity bill). What do I have to do so I can begin the process of emancipation? And do you think the Judge would decide emancipation is best for me?

Read the stickies at the top of this forum. If you do not have a history of fully supporting yourself totally, you are not a candidate for emancipation.

If you are being abused, tell a trusted teacher, counselor or call CPS yourself.
