Earlier today I had a fender bender coming out of my place of work. When you come out, there are no left turns and you cannot go straight - only right (there is a concrete median). Once traffic cleared I turned right - and hit some guy in a car on my right. He pulled up into my blind spot and was going to try to go around me when I ended up hitting him.
He said that I didn't have my signal light on. He was correct I did not. But, right is the only direction that I can go. He knew that. He's claiming that since I didn't signal that it was my fault. The police said that it was 50/50 and that it was up to the insurance company.
I just wanted to run it by everyone here to see what they thought. He also says that since it might be 50/50 that we pay for our own damages. That made me think that he probably knows that it's his fault. That and the fact that he talked about another accident that he was in earlier in the year.
