My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: California
Long story short, I was pulled over in Los Angeles for making an illegal u-turn (infraction). Upon talking with the officer, he cited me for not having a California DL even though I've lived here for more than a month (misdemeanor) - I have a nevada license, as I only go to school here.
So the court date was set to Oct 10th, and during that week, a family incident occurred and I had to go back home for the entire week, missing my arraignment date.
Now I received, what I obviously expected, a bench warrant for my arrest - and the paper that I received in the mail says "To avoid arrest, pay the bail listed or reschedule a court hearing". I immediately called to reschedule for a new court date, which is now set in mid december and I have a confirmation number and all.
My question is that since the notification of warrant that came in the mail says "to avoid arrest reschedule a court date", am I okay to be driving till my december arraignment? I have the confirmation for the rescheduling and what not, so I'm just a little worried as to what I should do next.
Thanks-
