Unhappy Can an Imputed Wage Be Decreased

My question involves a marriage in the state of: California

I recently went through a court hearing to determine support I would receive from my husband. I am a stay at home mom and have been for 7 years. We have two children, and he has a really good job. Normally at the first court hearing the judge determines child and spousal support and then schedules another hearing months later to decide on any changes, imputed wages. But the judge that was overseeing the case imputed wages on that day to begin three months down the road. My question is, what if after that time period the stay at home mother cannot find a job and the amount of support is causing a hardship. Can the court ordered support be addressed again to determine if there needs to be an adjustment made, since the court is concerned with the children's welfare?

Then the chances of that being decreased may be slim. You're expected to support your children too, and that means you may have to get a job. How old are your kids?

They are 5 and 9. The youngest just started kindergarten and it is halfday until January. So is there never a case when the imputed wage is reversed even partially? I have been looking for work, but because I have been out of the workforce for so long, and the current economy, it is very difficult.

I cannot see the court imputing anything less than minimum wage at this point.

If you're not working, who is paying your bills, housing etc?
