Default 5 Charges and 1 Conviction, Any Chance of Helping My Record

My question involves expungements or pardons for the state of: North Carolina and DC

I live a pretty interesting life and have gotten some big bumps on my record for that. Ever since 2004 I wasn't able to get a job...that is till I figured out I had to lie about my background. I work in the IT industry and most of the jobs that I do are contracted out. The only way I get work is just say I don't have a record and lie (If I'm lucky they won't check). I hate this. I know I will never be able to work for any respectable company doing this. I want to take what ever steps I have to, to clean my record up. I would spend $10,000 if I had to, to get this worked out.

    2004 - 17 years old - Simple Assault - Dismissed - Forsyth County, NC
2004 - 18 years old - False Report to Police Station - Dismissed - Forsyth County, NC
2005 - 18 years old - Possession of Stolen Goods / Resisting Arrest - Plead Guilty - Alamance County, NC
    2008 - 22 years old - 4 counts of assault of public officer - Dismissed - DC
    2008 - 22 years old - Simple Assault - Dismissed - Guildford County, NC

After doing a bit of reading I'll try to summarize what I think my options are. If I am wrong or missing something can someone help me out?

For the first charge since I was under 18 this shouldn't be showing up?
2nd charge - I should be able to get this expunged?
3rd charge - Since I plead guilty and got a 2 year probation the only option I have is getting a pardon. I wouldn't be able to do this till 2012 if I read correctly. Even after a pardon (if I get it) its still on my record, correct?
4th charge - Not sure how DC handles dismissals
5th charge - Should be able to get this dismissed, correct?

In North Carolina i'm heavily involved with the community and could easily get 1000 signatures. I have no idea if that would be useful or not but just throwing it out there.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Only if you petitioned to get your juvi record sealed. Since it's showing, I assume you did not do this.

In the state of North Carolina, you may only receive ONE expungement in your lifetime. It makes no difference if the charge was dismissed or if you were convicted, it's just one expungement per person, ever.

For the dismissed charge in DC, you may be able to get your record sealed. Read here.

Is this something I can do now?

Since the possession of stolen goods and resisting arrest happened at the same time can I get both of them expunged, or do I need to pick one of them?

Thanks for all of the help so far.

    After reading:
    http://www.ncsu.edu/stud_affairs/leg...pungeSheet.htm
    http://www.ncga.state.nc.us/EnactedL...S_15A-146.html

It seems if I plead guilty i'm not eligible for an expungement . Am I missing something?

Maybe. Check with the juvenile court in the county in which you were charged.

It's my understanding that those charges, because you pled out, are not eligible for expungement. You'd have to choose between the remaining two dismissed charges.

Alright let me sum things up and let me know if I missed anything.

That charge that I got when I was under 18 I might be able to get taken care of, I need to talk with the juvenile court in that county.

After that I had 2 charges that were dismissed in NC. I need to pick one of these to get expunged. I guess I will be going with the most recent one.

There is absolutely nothing I can do about the charge that I pled guilty for, correct?

I'll be in contact with a DC lawyer to see if my charges are eligible to be sealed.
