What did the court say when you called them and asked them this question???
Perhaps you're an exception, but a typical court clerk won't answer a question like that. They'll tell you to call a lawyer.
Why do you "need" to be emancipated? When do you turn 18? Even if things go like greased lightning, and nobody opposes the petition, it's typically difficult to get a court to act on a petition in less than six weeks.
Then, once the court "acts", that act can include ordering things like a psych evaluation - which will take MORE time, then time for the court to evaluate it, perhaps time for the court to appoint a GAL to make a recommendation...so several months as a typical minimum, assuming no issues on the table.
We will give a broad answer such as: once your petition and other paperwork is completed and filed, a hearing will be set x number of weeks out. Whether or not the petition is granted or whether the will be continuances is another story entirely.
How long will it take?
It will take till your 18th birthday. Reason? There is no statute for the emancipation of a minor in NY.
