    Default Fences and Their Height

Fences are allowed to be 2m heigh, now the land on the other side of a stone wall which forms my boundary and is mine has been raised by 50cm+ by the developer building on the adjoining land.

Can my fence datum for the 2m measurenment be taken by the land on the other side?

I could build up my land on my side by 50cm which would even things out.

Or could I put up a trellis - does it need to comply to the 2m rule as well as its not a fence?

    Cheers

As you were told when you posted, this is a U.S. forum and laws differ by state. You didn't identify your state, but your post suggests that the issue is larger - that you're not in the U.S.

I suggest you try to find a forum that discusses the laws of whatever country you happen to be in.
