My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: NC

I was demoted from a high paying position for what I feel is unjust reasons. I have signed nothing to do with the demotion, I was just told. The company hasn't changed my pay plan yet. I filed a EEOC claim today. Will they have the right to move me out of my position still? Can they move me out and make me take a lower pay grade? If they demand I sign something taking a lower pay grade or making me move to another location, do I have to accept? What if I refuse to do anything besides remain in my current office in the same compacity. Does the EEOC sexual harrasment claim protect me? Thanks
