My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: Washington
I received a speeding ticket earlier this week in King County. The officer wrote me up for doing 32 in a school zone (20). I was behind two other cars and not going any faster than either of them, and the school zone in question is only about 200 feet long - in fact the officer pulled me over past the Speed Limit 30/End School Zone sign. Later that night I went back to see how I had missed the 20 MPH limit and saw that it said "20 MPH School Zone when lights flashing."
It was about 12:15 PM when I got my ticket and I'm pretty sure the lights were not flashing at the time. I figure I can go back to the place at 12:15 on some other day and see if the lights are flashing then, but it would be better if I could track down county logs on the flashing light, if they exist.
Does anyone know of a way to find out if school zone lights were flashing on a given day at a particular time? Or when they are generally programmed to come on?
Thanks
