My question involves criminal law for the state of: Wisconsin & Michigan
Our son has had a long list of problems (including a drug problem) for the past few years. He is on probation for: 2nd degree sexual assault-intoxicated victim & bail jumping combined with a recent arrest for: theft-movable property>$2500 - $5000 & bail jumping in Wisconsin. To make a long story short he raped a girl who they believed he drugged and then was arrested for stealing from his place of work.
Now, this week he came to Michigan to visit his grandmother (we don't speak) and was arrested last night for breaking into a house (while drunk & high), trying to attack a woman as she slept (her husband beat him and threw him out) and then went on a rampage through the neighborhood wrecking neighbors fences & landscaping before being arrested.
Our fear is that he will be let go. Will they automatically check his record in Wisconsin and know that he is on probation or should be contact the authorities to notify them? He is on a dangerous, downhill spiral and we feel he is dangerous if let out of jail. Will they extradite him to Wisconsin from Michigan because he is on probation. We don't even think he was allowed to leave the state. Please help!
