Default Negative Accounts Being Reported Mutiple Times

My question involves a credit report problem in the State of: TEXAS

    Hello,

I live in Texas and I am trying my best to correct all of my past financial mistakes.

I was looking at my credit report and noticed that there were some negative debts that were entered multiple times (each from a different collection agency). About 1/3 of my 'negative accounts' are the result of these duplicates.

Is it allowed to be reporting the same debt at least twice?
If not, how can I dispute it?

Also, some of them have an 'Account Open Date' that a year after the 'Reporting Date'. Is this also allowed?

Also, Ive noticed under my personal information for Experian says that I supposedly lived in the state of New Hampshire for some time. I actually never lived outside of Texas. I am already working on this.

You can dispute the double entries with the collection agencies that are reporting them, and with the CRA's that are reporting them. Note that if some of the entries are historical (debt was in the hands of Company A from 2005 to 2008, Company B from 2008 - 2009, and now is held by Company C), the information may be accurate; recall that we only know what you tell us, and we can't review the report ourselves.

If by "'Account Open Date' that a year after the 'Reporting Date'" you mean that they reflect that the account with a collection agency was opened after the debt was initially reported, that would make sense by virtue of the fact that the debt wouldn't have been assigned to them until after it came due. Perhaps you can better explain the issue.
