My question involves employment and labor law for the state of: California
I wonder if bonuses are regulated or paid at employers' discretion? I left a company about a month ago, had been promised my bonus check in the mail, but did not get anything. The pay roll guy was on the medical leave, and the person who issued my last check was not sure what my bonus plan was. Now I am not getting any response from the company. Bonuses are paid once a year, I have worked a few months of that year. Company policy did not address bonuses.
