    Default "No Objection" Waiver

I am currently on a F1 visa studying in a university.

Two years ago I was in US under a US-sponsored program as a student and therefore the 2 YHRR applies. Since then, I spent a year in the home country (country of residence) therefore I only have one year left under that rule.

What are the chances of getting a "no objection" waiver if I apply for it? What are the risks if I apply for one?

I am not aware of any risks associated with applying for a waiver. I assume you would be shooting for a "no objection" statement? Whether or not your nation of origin is willing to grant waivers (and on what terms) is not something I can answer.

What I am asking is - if I request a "No objection" statement, what are the consequences if possibly it is rejected?
