Civil Recovery ?
I'm reading this as paying prior to a conviction, seems insane.
Paying for something in a Civil Recovery Demand by the accused, is it NOT a most grievous "self authorized admittance of Guilt" and can do no more than further a conviction. Confession by payment in any unsettled case doesn't seem Rational, so I must not understand if a conviction is already implied when they are sent. Guilt by arrest, detainment isn't a law, is it.
Seems monumentally illogical to pay until it's proven it was stolen, then by you and that your actions caused this Recovery event.
If the police are involved generally there's some Case pending. This Civil Demand sounds insane to be paying prior to conviction. I also don't doubt when a case is pending, by paying this bill, people are led to falsely believe forgiveness will be forthcoming and all charges dropped--insinuated and not a gurantee unless in writing.
If it's paid for pre conviction, why pay it unless you plan to plead guilty.
Also is the stuff is paid for by the Demand, can it be retrieved since you paid for it.
