Getting Married on J1 Visa

Hello.
I am here in America on a J1 visa working as Au Pair.
I met my boyfriend (who is a US citizen) a few months ago, our relationship is really serious and now I wonder if I can get married and apply for a "green-card" while Im here on a J1 visa?

As is explained in dozens, if not hundreds of other threads, your ability to adjust your status depends upon whether your visa is subject to a two year home residency requirement and, if so, whether you successfully obtain a waiver of that requirement.
