Default Entering My Apartment Without Permission

My question involves an eviction in the state of: CALIFORNIA

    Hello

I was the tenant at an apartment complex and in June i did have hard time to pay my rent. I got all the notices and i was trying to pay full amount in June.

Then i served by the door ( not face to face ) and i defended myself at the court.

While i was waiting my court date and tried to negoitiate with my landlord's lawyer they got in to my apartment and evicted me.

I had to leave the country for an emergency after 1 day this happened so i could not even go back to court and declare this.

Now i received letter from that lawyer to pay lots of money. ( 9 times more than my actualy rent )

    What should i do ?

If i failed to appear that court, can i still sue them because they entered my apartment without court order?

    thank you

Presumably the landlord obtained a judgment in court and is now seeking to enforce the judgment. You've given us no information about how long ago that happened; it may be that your time to try to attack the judgment or appeal has expired.
