Default Visa Waiver Program Eligibility for Someone Previously Deported as a Minor

    Hi,

This is my story... I am a french citizen and entered the U.S in '97 with a 90 day VWP to visit my mother. I was 14 at the time and due to family issues i couldn't go back to France after my visa had expired. Of course being a child, i didn't realise that i was braking the law (and subject to a re entry ban on U.S soil). I was then enrolled in high school from that time to summer '99. In order to settle the mentioned family issues, i had to go back to France for the summer. So, After a 2 month ''vacation", i bought an airplane ticket in order to return ''home'' with the VWP. Of course, i was denied entry in the US and deported to France on the next flight. It has been 11 years now since this happened. I finished my studies in France, have a well paid job abroad in a company that works under american licence. So here are my questions. Can i go back to the US as a tourist? I have no plans on staying permanently!! Can i still use the VWP or do i need to aply for a tourist's visa like any other foreing alien? If so what are the chances to have it denied? And is there any way to ''clear out'' this situation and have a ''clean immigration record''?

Any reply or answer will be much appreciated.. Thank you in advance.

    Regards.

If you've ever been denied admission to the US, you must apply for a tourist visa, rather than use the VWP.
