    Default Problems With My Neighbors

I, too, have a problem with my neighbors. They have been coming over to my house complaining about whatever they can to the point where, if I'm inside, I no longer answer the door. One neighbor, whose job is an in-home daycare, bothered to come over to my house to tell me that my kids are in need of discipline, whenever she has a two year old who stays outside by himself today. Today, a lady, who works for the daycare-neighbor, came over as I was backing my car out of the driveway, to tell that if the two-year old gets outside, I needed to come and tell them - like it's not THIER job to take care of kids that are supposed to be in their care. And, yet, another neighbor complained that my daughters took her son's shoes off the back porch into their wooded backyard - and my girls weren't even home that day. I am really getting really sick of this. I don't like feeling that I have to keep myself and my kids in the house to try to avoid us - but I can't continue to endure this harassment - any suggestions? Thanks!

    Default Re: Harassment by Neighbors

I know exactly how you feel Missblahblah...I also have a neighbor who has been harassing me for close to a year now. She spreaded a rumor about me to another (unstable) neighbor and that person is now harassing me and my family. The neighbor who started all this bs is a retired cop and her boyfriend who live with her is currently a NYC officer. I have complained to the pct, Internal affairs and the CCRP with no action taken on them whatsoever. Now they are writing things about me on their Facebook pages to neighbors in the area and even people we don't even know. Her boyfriend keeps his nose clean while she creates the drama, so he doesn't have to worry about his job.Everday it's something new and i never know what she's gonna pull next. The slander includes me being a whore and a drug dealer. Tickets, key marks on my car and their dogs poop all over my lawn. They seem to have their butts covered. Other neighbors have told me things that were said to them out of respect for me, but will not help me out legally for fear of retaliation by them. I have hit a brick wall for now, and may just have to wait for Karma to hit them back.

Sounds like our lovely neighbors are all related. What was that movie.........Deliverance?

It's sad that these neighbors have nothing else to do but harass people around them. It's even sadder that ultimately you have to move to have any peace. Unless you have a pot of gold for legal fees, getting them to stop the harassment and act like adults is pretty much impossible.

We have hours and hours of video tape of disturbances from our neighbors here in Arizona.

Finally got the County Attorney's Office to file charges when the neighbor threatened to kill us – only because I got it on video tape (none of our other neighbors want to get involved either). It happened at night, but the audio portion was enough. The neighbor pled guilty to Disorderly Conduct & Disturbing the Peace. A misdemeanor charge - which hasn't stopped him. We also had to file an Injunction Against Harassment Order against them. But this means nothing to someone who has multiple criminal charges & convictions against him - including two felony convictions.

A security video system is a good idea. Hang in there, maybe your neighbors will move. We keep hoping ours will (even though they've been here 6 years now).
