Today I was let go(as were others) after 3.5 years of being a perm employee. My department consists of contractors who started just a few months ago but I was laid off as they were not. From what I know in most cases contractors are usually laid off before perm employees especially when the perm employee has performed better..Here is why I believe I feel my manager and supervisor was discriminative against me:
1)Other employees had more OT opportunites then I did.
2)I applied for higher positions within the company(which I was qualified for) but was never called in for a single interview.
3)I was written up for work related mistakes as other employees were not for doing the same exact mistake.
I believe I was let go because of my arab ethnicity in a miliary company. My manager didn't want me moving up in the company and my supervisor as well tried getting me fired by accumilating written notices. And now they laid me off as other contractors still remain. Now there asking me to sign a release form for extended pay.Should I sign it? Or should I speak to a lawyer about my dismisal?
