I hate to keep this thread going, but here goes.
To the OP:
You have NO STANDING. Nothing you have to say is important in the emancipation of a minor. To repeat, you have no legal standing. No court is going to give you the time of day.
Now, if the minor is going to go to court to ask for emancipation, that is on him. You can be sure his family will not like the idea and as he does not have a job, etc. it will NEVER happen.
The fact that he is in school and won't be working, requires he live somewhere for free. This is where you come in.
Now, keep in mind you will be in front of a judge in court. At this point you will be called to the stand to testify under oath. You can be certain the family will have an attorney. Even if you have one at this point, it will do you no good.
Your life will be disected like you are a bug in science class. Your motives will be attacked. Why do you care? It will be argued or at least suggested you are having an illegal sexual relationship with a child.
The judge will recommend to law enforcement that you be investigated for sex with a minor. The police will question the minor and his parents. They will talk to your friends and neighbors of your nice condo, maybe your employer. Does your job need state licensing or bonding? Bad news for you. Your life will be crap and your friend will still be at home while you wonder why you were such a stupid moron.
And if you think you can get guardianship for verbal abuse, you need a serious mental examination. Child protective services would laugh at you.
And again, you have no standing to do ANYTHING.
Wait until the 18 birthday.
