My question involves criminal law for the state of: South Carolina..
I was charged with shoplifting on this past thursday at Macy's in Columbia South Carolina and have to go to court for it on September 23, 2010. I was wondering since I have a clean record and never been arrested for anything or charged for anything before will I be able to remove the charge and conviction from my record, as I want to not hinder me from getting a higher paying job. If so when am I able to do this, like what is the process I need to begin from here?
