Default New Jersey Shoplifting and Disorderly Persons Charges

My question involves criminal law for the state of: NJ

I have been charged for shoplifing for less than $10 and also intially charged with robbery but downgraded to disorderly persons. what should I expect? am i going to Jail? should there be any chance downgrading to municipal ordinance? I am first time offender. I don't have any type of records. Can I get away with probatiton, fine, community service?
what should I expect? please help?

I'm guessing the initial robbery charge was b/c you fought or threatened the LP person who attempted to stop you? I think you used all your good karma getting that knocked down to a disorderly.
Normally with the amount you are charged with, if it's your first offense, you'd be looking at some combination of restitution to the store, fines to the court, community service and probation...a nice little slap on the wrist. With the other charge? You might wind up with a weekend in jail or two at worst.
Stop shoplifting...or at least stop resisting when you get caught.

I didn't theatened or hit the security person. I resisted intitially. I did not hit him or pushed him but he is claiming that I pushed him and he had a scratch on his hand. LP person did not have to go to hospital. I think that was the reason charges were dropped to disorderly persons.I have a lawyer. Should I still be looking at Jail time?
