My question involves criminal law for the state of: Georgia
My husband's ex-wife accessed my online insurance account using my social security number that she obtained from our tax return. Based on the transaction summary from the insurance tech support, she attempted to alter information for one of the dependents, but not sure exactly what. She did not have my authorization and I'm not sure exactly what her intention was in doing this as there is no direct financial gain.
Is this considered a computer crime? If so, what area and how do I proceed to prosecute.
My concern is the fact that she used my social security number to do this, what else has she done with it.
I reside in Georgia. She resides in Florida.
Thank you.
