Default Going to Court for Non Payment

My question involves child support in the State of: illinois

i was fired from my job last march and have been unable to make the court ordered payments. i've been able to get some freelance work last year but i haven't had luck this year. every time i did work, i sent in what i could. i have to go to court at the end of the month because i am now 21k behind in payments. my question am i definitely going to jail even though i was fired from my job? i haven't been able to send in much money, but i have sent some. i plan on making another payment before i go to court and securing whatever job i can find before then.

Did you move for modification of your support obligation when you lost your job? You were current at that time?

I was completely current when I was let go. I wasn't aware that a modification needed to be made at that time. I figured that out last fall and called and requested the packet which was supposed to take up to 6 months to be sent out. I had moved 3 months after the request and neither it was never sent or it wasn't forwarded. I requested another one 2 months ago, don't have it yet.

    Forms online

That took me 0.2 seconds to find via Google - the entire package is available.

I called the disbursement unit in Illinois and they told me my only option was a packet in the mail. Therefor, I didn't look online.
