My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Georgia
I have a couple employees who work for me that do a bad job working. They are slow, careless, and immature. My first idea was to write them up to fire them but corporate is saying that I need so many write ups that it would take half a year to terminate them. So my next idea is to ask them to resign, and if they agree to I will give them a letter of recommendation. Is it illegal to ask an associate to resign based on a bad work performance? I really need to get these associates replaces so my other associates aren't stressing. Thank you!
