My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: California
I got a speeding ticket for going (the officer said, though I know I wasn't going this fast) 86 MPH on a freeway, where the speed limit is 65 MPH. It says I violated "22349 (a) VC-Exceed Max Speed of 65 MPH". I obviously don't want this going on my DMV record, and I'd love to not get a point for it. Is there anything I can do? She said she "clocked me" going that speed; does this mean she used a radar? And if so is there any hope in fighting it? (I just saw a box where she circled "lidar unit"- what does this mean?) Under the "code and section" portion of the ticket it also says "#1,491.3' " What does this mean?
I got the ticket when I was 17. Is that going to make a difference?
