My question involves child support in the State of: California

In a nut shell here is what I am trying to figure out. My ex-husband has had a long standing wage order for child support for our son and another child he had after we were divorced. In September 2009 child support payments stopped because he was let go from his job. Now in 2007 he was put on probation for non payment of child support for 3 years. When he lost his job in 2009 he failed to comply with some of the conditions of his probation that were in place if he was to loose his job.

He has been in contact with the child support officer, had his licnese suspended, has made appointments to meet with the officer but failed to show up or call etc. In April of this year he was arraigned for violation of probation and plead guilty. His sentencing is this Friday. What I want to know is what are the possible punishments he could be looking at?

Everyone knows he has been working but he is working for cash. He has snubbed his nose at the system so is he finally going to get some sort of wake up call? It is obvious that probation has ment nothing and a suspended drivers license has ment nothing. What he couldn't stand would be some good old fashion jail time because he would have to explain it to his parents who live with blinders on 24/7/365. Between his two children he owes over $ 40,000.00 in arrears as well.

I just want to be prepared for any backlash that may resort from the sentencing and by knowing what the possible punishments may be would help if anyone knows.
