It was my very first criminal act ever and I really regret it.
It was Walgreen in NY and there were no cop involved.
It was like $27 worth of stuff.
The security guy caught me outside of store and they took me back office.
They took my State ID information and he made me sign some paper. I was really confused and I did not pay attention to that paper so I am not sure what it was. I just print my name, wrote address and sign, and he put my ID info in that paper.
He said they are gona keep that paper for store. they let me go saying I'm banned from the store. And I will be getting letter saying I am banned from the store.
I am still waiting for the letter.
so I read couple thread and figured out that since cop werent called, I will be clear on my record unless I do not pay whatever fine will be. Plus I will be on the shoplifter database if Walgreen is subscriber and I believe they are.
I really appreciate that they didnt call cop and I will not do this again.
My concern is I have started working like two weeks ago at one of the biggest accounting firm. I know it was really stupid to do this first place but I have done and cannot change.
I wonder do accounting firm usually go to shoplifter retail database for background check? I mean I believe my check is done before I start working but not sure. and I am not sure how often they run on me.
And I know that database is secret and non-public but do anyone know accounting firm go through that database or not?
