    Default If You Apologize for Stealing, Might They Drop the Charges

    recently i attemted to breaking a store and did break into a school and i was think if i went and said i was sorry mabye they would go easy on my charges

    It's always possible, but hardly likely.

    Remember, if they don't drop the charges (and they probably won't), then you'll have just confessed your guilt. That can't go well for you no matter what happens.

    So don't.

    You need to shut your mouth, not speak to the people you stole from, and get yourself in to see a criminal defense attorney.

    I agree with the others.

    Listen to your attorney.

    You decided to commit grown up crimes with grown up penalties. Having your parents take you to their house and look them in the eye when you apologize really doesn't work very well here.

    You are way beyond a "sorry, do over."
