My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of:
I was driving in the carpool lane with tinted windows. I look back and see the cop. I had just gotten my driver's license and was unclear on exactly what to do when getting pulled over in a busy freeway (there was a lot of traffic). I turned right to pull over and crossed 3 lanes. When I finally got to the opposite end, I realized I was right next to the exit. In order to go out of the freeway, I had to cross the lines that divided the exit and the freeway. I decided to cross those lines anyway, thinking that was what the cop wanted me to do. Once I did, he shouted "what are you doing, exit the freeway"..
He ended up giving me a 22107 VC Unsafe turn and a violation for the tinted windows.
What are my chances of winning if I took this to court? What should I say?
Also, I extended my court date from July to November. Does this mean the deadline for my payment is extended as well?
Thank you for your help!
