I carry insurance for myself and three kids, ex is supposed to pay for half of cost of insurance, but only one of the kids is his. How do I figure how much it would be for just one child. I hope that makes sense.

Your insurance company should be able to identify a basic premium just for you, from which you can determine the additional cost for covering your children. If there is not a flat cost per child, and there often isn't with multiple children, a simple way would be to divide the cost of coverage for the additional dependents by six. (Example: $300 for insurance divided by three kids is $100 per kid. Half of the cost of $100 is $50.)
